The Zambia 15 rugby team concluded their tour of Uganda with two defeats in the Victoria Cup as they were defeated by Kenya. Following a 13-8 loss to the hosts, Uganda, just four days earlier, Zambia aimed to bounce back in their match against Kenya at Kyandondo Stadium in Kampala. Led by Lawrence Njovu, this marked the team's return to international competition for the first time since 2019. Despite fielding a strong starting lineup that included players like Mphatso Mwashi, Ali Bhika, Lawrence Lesa, Isaac Sakala, Thomas Mwakenja, Daniel Kunda, Pekah Phiri, Rogers Mukupa, Mulenga Mwila, and Terry Kaushiku, Zambia encountered a tough challenge. At halftime, they found themselves trailing 19-16, with Terry Kaushiku contributing two penalties. In the second half, Zambia managed to add another penalty through Alex Mwewa, but Kenya extended their lead with two tries, one of which was converted. In an effort to mount a comeback, Njovu introduced Berthlock Siakona and Raymond Mwashi. Kenya then faced Uganda in their next match to determine the overall winner of the tournament.
