Zambia's women's soccer team is gearing up for their first home game since the WAFCON qualifiers. After more than a year of anticipation. The match is set to take place at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka today and will see Zambia face off against Tanzania in a friendly game scheduled to kick off at 15:00. The friendly match holds significance as a sendoff before the team heads to a three-week training camp in Germany. During their time in Germany, they will also participate in three more friendly matches before heading to the World Cup tournament, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand and is scheduled to begin next month. Coach Bruce Mwape expressed his delight, while captain Barbra Banda promised an impressive performance to please the long-awaiting fans. However, with Woodlands Stadium's capacity limited to 7,000, the match will be broadcast live on ZNBC TV3, allowing fans unable to attend to follow the game from home.
