Newly appointed Zanaco head coach Wedson Nyirenda claims he knows where the problem is at his new home, Sunset Stadium. Nyirenda who was speaking during his presentation to the media on Tuesday said he had already watched a few games and figured out where the problem was. The former Kaizer Chiefs player says he is equal to the task and will help the team move away from the threat of relegation that is hovering around them. “I have watched some games and I have an idea what the problem is and where to start. As a coach, I am always equal to the task. My task as a coach is to fight my record. This appointment is unique because we only have two months left. We shall help the team gunner some points and help them come out of that unsolicited place,” he said. The former Chipolopolo boss believes Zanaco players are low on confidence and wants to give them a confidence boost and a sense of belonging. “Some players are lacking confidence. You can’t go 8 games as a big team without a win. You find that your confidence is at its lowest. The players will even be shunned to play games. We need to encourage every player to come on board in training and try to motivate everyone and give them their sense of belonging,” he said. Nyirenda was appointed Zanaco interim head coach early this week taking over from Kelvin Kaindu who was sacked after a string of poor results. Kaindu’s sacking also coincided with the sacking of consultant Emmanuel Amunike and his assistant Emeka Amandi. Zanaco is currently with 34 points after 28 games and just three points above the relegation Zone. ZANACO
