Zambia Pool Union is preparing to participate in the upcoming 2023 Africa Pool Championship. This marks the first time that Zambia Pool will compete in all categories, boasting both men's and women's teams for the senior and under 23 categories. The General Secretary of Zambia Pool Union, Tesfa Shinkombwe, has announced the return of Captain Victor Sinyinza to lead the team once more, a role he successfully filled last year when Zambia clinched the championship title. In anticipation of this prestigious event, preparations have been ramped up to ensure the teams are in prime form. Notably, the women's team has set its sights on surpassing their remarkable third-place finish at the pool World Cup, achieved last year. Last year, Zambia's women's national team demonstrated their prowess by securing a commendable third place at the Black Ball World Championship held in Tangier, Morocco. Now, as the 2023 Africa Pool Championship looms on the horizon, Zambia stands ready to defend its title. The championship is set to kick off on the 11th of October in Johannesburg, South Africa, promising an exciting showcase of pool talent and competition.
