The Zambia Pool Union has expressed dissatisfaction with the recent performance of the Zambia men's and women's national teams at the All-African Pool Black Bowl Championship in South Africa. According to Union General Secretary Tesfa Shinkombwe, the overall performance fell short of expectations. The men's national team, in particular, failed to defend their African champion title, suffering a 13-12 loss to Tanzania in the semi-finals. Shinkombwe attributed this underwhelming performance to several challenges faced by the teams during the championship, including fatigue and a lack of motivation due to the absence of allowances. Zambia Men's pool team head coach Leonard Millimo expressed his disappointment and vowed that the team would return stronger to reclaim their former glory. The men's team secured third place, earning the bronze medal, while the women's team finished in fourth place in the championship held in Sandton, South Africa.
