After an 11-year hiatus, the Copperbelt Open Table Tennis Championship is set to take place next weekend in Chambishi, Kalulushi . Sponsored by NSC African Milling, the tournament is scheduled for November 26 to 26, marking its return since 2012. In a circular dated November 17, the Zambia Table Tennis Association (ZTTA) announced through ZTTA Technical Director Boyd Kavinda. Kavinda emphasized that this inaugural tournament, last held in 2012, will feature eight categories, including under 13 girls and boys, under 17 girls and boys, ladies and men's singles, and veterans men and women. The event will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with no participation fee, however,entries will not be accepted after November 23. ZTTA Vice President Wisdom Kavinda expressed delight at the revival of the Copperbelt tournament after years of inactivity.
