The UNZA Table Tennis Club (UNZATT), in collaboration with The University of Zambia's Sports and Recreation Office, played host to an outstanding display of skill and sportsmanship at the UNZA Table Tennis Interschools Tournament, spanning from 22nd July to 15th September 2023. The Zambia Table Tennis Association (ZTTA) proudly stood by this prestigious event, a product of the joint efforts of UNZATT, UNZA Sports and Recreation Office, and ZTTA. The tournament served as a nurturing ground for budding table tennis talent, instilling the core values of sportsmanship and spirited competition. Participating schools showcased extraordinary skills and unwavering determination. In the male category, the School of Humanities emerged as champions, closely followed by the School of Engineering in second place, while the School of Medicine secured third position. Their outstanding performances etched a lasting legacy in the tournament's history. The female competitors were equally remarkable, with the School of Medicine clinching the top honor, the School of Humanities securing second place, and the School of Law obtaining third position. As the tournament reached its conclusion, it was clear that participants not only displayed their athletic prowess but also cultivated bonds of sportsmanship. This event undoubtedly marks the beginning of a promising journey for many aspiring table tennis stars, and the ZTTA remains steadfast in its support of such initiatives.
