Teulings Youth Sports Challenge's grand finale at OYDC Zambia on November 25, 2023, honored over 140 sports figures,athletes, coaches, teams, media, umpires, and clubs with trophies, medals, and shields for their outstanding 2023 performances. Sponsored by Coen Teulings of Merifin Capital, the event, coinciding with Teulings' birthday, radiated joy. Coen Teulings' rep, Hans Bertels, conveyed appreciation and urged athletes to pursue excellence. OYDC Zambia's CEO, Dr. Fredrick Chitangala, announced plans to expand the challenge to include more disciplines in 2024, emphasizing collaboration with sports associations. Simangolwa Shakalima, OYDC Zambia Board Chairperson, thanked Coen Teulings and urged more corporate support. In a speech read on his behalf by Ministry of Youth Sport and Arts Acting Director of Sport Gibson Muyaule, Sports Minister Hon Elvis Nkandu applauded Teulings' contribution to athlete development and instilling values. The challenge, backed by Teulings since 2011, not only benefits OYDC Zambia but also contributes talent to national teams and clubs.
