In the lead-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Zambian athletes across multiple sports disciplines are gearing up for the opportunity to secure spots at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The National Olympics Committee of Zambia - NOCZ has called on various Zambian athletes from the sports of Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Triathlon, and Wrestling among others who qualify to apply for the spots at the Paris 2024 Olympics Games. According to NOCZ, for Athletics, qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics involves a dual approach, with 50% of spots determined by meeting entry standards between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024, and the remaining 50% based on World Athletics rankings. Meanwhile, Other sports like Boxing, Football, Judo, and Handball still have ongoing separate qualification pathways to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. NOCZ is set to roll out daily qualification or entry standards for Zambian athletes today, starting with sports featured at the Accra 2023 African Games during the qualification period running from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2024.
