Luapula Basketball Association has expressed that basketball can raise the Zambian flag high if it receives the same attention and support as football. Luapula Basketball Association Chairperson,Rejoice Kalumba has attributed the underperformance in baskeball leagues to a lack of sponsorship. Kalumba has also urged well-wishers to step in and sponsor teams or basketball tournaments to improve the sport. He said their goal is to work with schools to identify talent and make sure the sport is developed and known in the province.
