Green Buffaloes Women's Basketball Club is all set for the Zone Six Africa Women's Basketball League in Luanda, Angola, scheduled for November 6-12, with the hope of advancing to the Africa Women's Basketball League in Egypt from December 11-19. Coach Isaiah Kambidima expressed their readiness, having undergone extensive training and used league games as part of their preparation. While the tournament draws are pending, Kambidima's team is prepared to face any opposition. On the other hand, Dolphins coach Milken Muzongwe's team, which finished second in the league, won't be able to participate due to late communication. Muzongwe lamented the missed opportunity to support female players in their country, citing a lack of time to secure necessary funds. Notably, the newly-launched women's club competition will enforce new eligibility rules, requiring team rosters to include a minimum of eight national players and four foreign players, with two from African leagues and two from outside Africa.
