The Zambia National Women's Hockey Team Coach, Floyd Choma says he is determined to secure a spot in the medal bracket at the upcoming Hockey 5s World Cup in Muscat, Oman. The team, currently in camp at OYDC Zambia, is gearing up to face formidable opponents like Australia, Ukraine, and South Africa in group B. In a send-off ceremony at OYDC Zambia, Chomba assured that all the players are fit for the competition as they prepare to depart for Oman on January 17. And OYDC Zambia's CEO, Dr. Fredrick Chitangala, expressed gratitude for the team's dedicated use of their sports facility and conveyed confidence in the girls' performance in Oman. Meanwhile, Boniface Kambikambi, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), encouraged the team to represent Zambia with pride and bring the cup home. Acknowledging the growing popularity of hockey in the country, Kambikambi noted the increasing interest from athletes. Furthermore, Elvis Bwalya, the general secretary of the Zambia Hockey Association, expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the team and anticipates a highly competitive World Cup. Bwalya affirmed the team's commitment to giving their best to secure victories.
