The Zambia National Women's Hockey Team are en route back to Zambia after their challenging performance at the 2024 Women's World Cup in Oman. Despite a series of 5 losses at the tournament, they secured a significant victory against hosts Oman, ultimately securing the 15th position. The players, currently on a flight with stops in Dubai and Kenya, will touch down at Lusaka's Kenneth Kaunda International Airport tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, Carolina Nakombe, a key player, won't be among the returning players as she embarks on a 6-month loan deal with Italian second-tier league ASD Galatea, with potential for extension.
