Enock 'Rambo' Chanda, the reigning champion of the Fred Kapenda Classic, demonstrated his prowess once again by successfully defending his title on Saturday, August 26th. Facing stiff competition from eight other contenders, Rambo (tag 1), who clinched victory in the inaugural edition of the competition in 2021, showcased his determination to maintain his status as the champion from the very beginning. Despite his best efforts, classic runner-up Paul Chisenga was unable to secure the top spot. Chisenga, also participating in the Classic for the second time, pushed Rambo to bring his A-game and secure victory in this year's competition. Jonas Sikaonga secured a third-place finish, surpassing Vernon Bwalya. Among the top six performers were Gift Kalunga and Musonda Mutale. Meanwhile, the first round saw the elimination of four participants: Martin Chungu, Given Nhakisha, King Promise, and Amon. In the Men's Physique competition, Amon emerged as the victor, triumphing over competitors Christopher Mutale, Diamiano, and Lucky Ndila. His final professional competition was the 2007 Mr. Zambia, which he won before retiring from the sport. Kapenda's remarkable career is a testament to his dedication and skill in the field of bodybuilding.
