Nigeria Reveals Athletes for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has disclosed the lineup of athletes who will proudly represent Nigeria at the prestigious World Athletics Championships scheduled for this August in Budapest. Notably absent from the roster are Udodi Onwuzurike and Godson Brume, whose names were omitted from the list unveiled yesterday. The Women's 4x400m relay team includes Patience Okon-George, Imaobong Nse-Uko, Deborah Opeyemi Oke, and Ella Onojuvewo, showcasing Nigeria's formidable female athletic prowess. On the men's side, the 4x100m relay team features talents like Ushearitse Itshekiri, Favour Ashe, Seye Ogunlewe, Alaba Akintola, Fokorede Adekalu, and Karlington Anunagba, alongside other accomplished athletes, ready to represent their nation on the global stage. Contrastingly, Team Zambia's representation at the World Athletics Association appears limited, with around four athletes poised to participate. Among them, Muzala Samukonga, who is currently nursing an injury, along with Rhoda Njobvu, Patrick Nyambe, and Niddy Mingilishi, are the hopeful contenders.
