In the culmination of the Africa Rugby 7s Olympic Qualifiers, the competition unveiled its final rankings. Unfortunately, Zambia's Men's sevens team faced a setback, failing to secure a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics games after a 29-15 loss to Uganda in the quarter-finals. The champions of the tournament were Kenya, who secured the top position, earning the coveted ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Following closely behind, South Africa and Uganda clinched the second and third positions, respectively. Zimbabwe claimed the fourth spot, while Zambia, despite their unfortunate quarter-final defeat, managed to secure the fifth position in the rankings. The remaining teams in the top twelve included Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Nigeria, Tunisia, Namibia, Algeria, and Ivory Coast, each contributing to the competitive spirit of the tournament. As Kenya celebrated their victory and their upcoming journey to the Olympics, both South Africa and Uganda are not without hope. They are set to participate in an Olympic Qualifying Tournament that will bring together countries from different continents, offering another opportunity to secure their place at the prestigious 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
