The Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) is determined to assemble a formidable team that will proudly represent the nation at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Egypt. HAZ President, Bwalya Banda, emphasised the critical importance of Zambia's Men's Handball team's participation in the Africa Cup, as this tournament serves as a dual qualifier for future international competitions. Banda also revealed that the Association is actively working to secure the necessary funds, exceeding one million Kwacha, to cover the expenses related to the team's travel and logistics. Banda further explained that if the Zambian team achieves a commendable position in the tournament, they will earn the opportunity to qualify for both the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the 2025 Poland and Norway World Cup. The 2024 Handball Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to run from January 18th to 28th, 2024.
