The Mr. Matero bodybuilding competition, held at the Mika Convention Centre, lived up to the anticipated excitement, with participants confidently taking the stage to showcase their impressive physiques. The event, which attracted some of the most prominent names in bodybuilding, featured 11 muscular contenders from Matero Gymnasium. Each competitor competed with a dazzling array of poses to exhibit their physiques. Following the initial round of flexing, the top 10 contenders were selected. Each received a minimum prize of £2,000 and a certificate. Ultimately, the competition came down to the top 3 contenders: Jack "Power" Chela, Jonas "The Beast" Sikaonga, and the newly crowned champion, William Sichone, who earned the esteemed title in the bodybuilding community, "The Machine." Sichone's remarkable performance on stage, highlighted by his well-defined biceps and triceps, enabled him to outshine his competitors much to the delight of the enthusiastic spectators. Notable figures like Muchinga Ward 28 Councillor Lee Mukupa and renowned female boxer Esther Phiri were among the satisfied onlookers.
