Betika Zambia has expressed its desire to establish a lasting partnership with the Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) by becoming the shirt sponsor for the national women's sevens team. Speaking on behalf of Betika, Kanyembo emphasized their commitment to assisting the team in qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, scheduled to take place in France. During an interview conducted yesterday, Kanyembo, the representative of Betika, revealed that plans were already in motion to collaborate with the ZRU to enhance the overall development of rugby in the country. This announcement follows the outstanding performance of the Zambia Women's Rugby team in the recently concluded Olympic Pre-qualifiers Championships. The championships, which featured participation from various countries, were hosted at Lusaka's showgrounds. Throughout the tournament, Zambia achieved victory in every match, dominating their opponents with impressive scores, including several games ending in a 36-0 triumph for Team Zed.
