The Zambia National Pool Team proudly received sponsorship for their jerseys in preparation for their participation in the All African Pool Association Blackball Championship. This generous presentation amounted to a sum of ZMK 126,000. The presentation was made through the Ministry of Youth Sports and Arts, with Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP, and Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe representing the government. Savenda Electronics' CEO, Joo T. Chunga, expressed their commitment to partnering with the African Champions, ensuring they have the necessary attire to represent Zambia in this prestigious tournament. Chunga emphasized the corporate world's responsibility to support the community. Honorable Nkandu extended his gratitude to Savenda Electronics and other companies that have stepped forward to assist the Association in meeting its financial obligations. He emphasized the government's reliance on corporate support and encouraged more companies to join in when called upon. The Permanent Secretary acknowledged the Pool Association's capabilities and commitment to defending their title. He reassured the team that the government would continue to source funds, even when resources are scarce, to support them in bringing home medals. The Minister urged the defending Champions to give their best and make the nation proud, expressing unwavering faith in their abilities. He personally handed over the jerseys to the players. Zambia Pool Union President, Maxwell Simukonda, presented Honorable Nkandu and PS Kangwa with jerseys as a token of appreciation, which they promised to wear during the team's matches.
