Through a press statement which was scheduled for immediately as of Sunday, 23rd April 2023, Zambia Pool Union informed the public on the ongoing Copperbelt Trial selection to bring more people on board. Part of the statement reads as follows: This serves to inform all Copperbelt Provincial based Pool players, that Zambia Pool Union has been conducting National team trials in selective provinces which have shown interest in joining the 2023 Pool League." This afternoon we are in Kitwe at the Car Wash conducting Trials & Selection for players who will be shortlisted after undergoing trials. We, therefore ask all players who are coming through to come in time as trials will commence at 12:00hrs sharp. Zambia Pool Union is expecting players from Luanshya, Kitwe, Chingola, Mufurila Kalulushi, Ndola & Chililabombwe. Pool Union has extended this invitation to media houses on the Copperbelt to come and cover this event. The statement which has been issued by Pool Union Media Director, Kirby Kaoma Musonda will be rolled out to other parts of the country to ensure that there is the recruitment of more players.
