Nguzu, renowned for his starring role in the award-winning television series "Mpali," engaged with Special Olympics Zambia athletes at Kuku grounds in Chawama, fostering a heartwarming connection. Mr. Monde, famously known as Nguzu, dedicated time to converse and have one-on-one interactions with the athletes. The event took place at Kuku grounds, where parents also gathered to show their unwavering support for their children. In an interview with Zed Sport, Mary Banda, a parent of a child with a disability, expressed her joy in the local language "Nyanja," conveying her deep appreciation for the support extended to special athletes in Chawama. "Ndine Okondwa maningi pali support yebapasa baana," she joyfully exclaimed, which translates to "I am extremely grateful for the support that the children are receiving." Reflecting the well-known adage that "disability is not inability," Special Olympics Zambia stands as a testament to its commitment to nurturing the talents of special athletes across various sports. As an ambassador for Special Olympics Zambia, Mr. Monde has assumed a crucial role in advocating for the well-being of special Olympic athletes.
