On the 9th of September 2023, several tag rugby community clubs came together to conduct engaging and enjoyable training sessions for their enthusiastic participants. Mapepe Tag Rugby Community Club orchestrated a delightful session in the late afternoon, spanning from 09:15. The session commenced with energizing tag warm-up exercises, setting the stage for an exciting game. The children participating in the session were excited about the game's fun and learning experience. Despite facing a challenge with limited training space at the school, the headteacher's resourcefulness ensured that the session proceeded smoothly. Meanwhile, the David Livingston Community School, situated in Chazanga compound to the north of the city, hosted its own tag rugby session in the morning. The commitment to nurturing young talent through tag rugby was evident in the dedication of the participants and organizers. Over at Munda Wanga Tag Rugby Community Club, an outstanding training session unfolded in the afternoon, blessed with favorable weather conditions. The session, conducted from 14:00 to 15:00, proved to be both enjoyable and productive. Participants seized the opportunity to improve their rugby skills and bond with their fellow players. These tag rugby community clubs are fostering a love for the sport among children and providing them with valuable opportunities for physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth. With their commitment and passion, these clubs are shaping the future of rugby in their communities.
