Louis Chileshe Bweupe, the President of the Zambia Rugby Union, announced that the Zambia Rugby Union Council amended its constitution during its Extraordinary General meeting. He expressed his gratitude to the ZRU council for their resolute and forward-thinking vote. He emphasized that a constitution must remain relevant to the evolving needs of the game, and these amendments would bring the Zambia Rugby Union closer to the goals of the global rugby community. He noted that these new clauses would ensure the well-being and protection of their players. Additionally, he highlighted the progress made in achieving gender equality and treating all players equally, regardless of gender. He also mentioned the implementation of anti-doping policies to maintain the sport's integrity and sportsmanship. "I look forward to continuing on this trajectory as we work towards making Zambia a rugby powerhouse again," he concluded.
