The Zambia Women's Rugby 7s team was knocked out of the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers after losing 31-0 to South Africa in the semifinals. The Zambia Rugby Women's team began their Rugby Africa Olympic 2024 qualifiers with a 27-0 loss to Kenya, followed by a 17-15 win over Madagascar. They also secured a victory over Ghana, defeating them 15-10. Finally, they faced a 31-0 loss to South Africa in the semifinals. Zambia confronted Uganda in the battle for third place and lost 29-10, resulting in Uganda winning the gold medal. Kenya won the silver medal after losing 12-7 to South Africa, who claimed the gold medal. South Africa has since qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
