Happening currently at Billiards Cafe in Lusaka, the National Ladies Pool Final Selection Series of matches is underway, with the best-performing players being chosen. In an interview with Zed Sport this afternoon, the coordinating personnel of the selection and the national team coach, Bongani Maata, stated that he is looking forward to selecting another world-class team to compete at the Africa Cup in South Africa. Mr. Maata has further encouraged the team currently undergoing the final trials to play with a winning mentality, which will enhance their participation and yield good results. Last year, the women's national team emerged 3rd at the Black Ball World Championship held in Tangier, Morocco. Next month, they will be defending the Africa Cup Championship. The provinces being represented include Eastern Province, Western Province, and Lusaka, among others.
