Taking centre stage this Saturday at the OYDC Zambia, the academy is hosting a Children's Athletic tournament that aims to nurture emerging talent in the younger generation. Marking the calendar for September 2nd, the "Track 4 Tots" athletic tournament will unfold, welcoming children aged 4 to 14 from the surrounding areas of Lusaka. This event not only promises a showcase of youthful energy but also serves as a significant stepping stone for grooming the next generation of sporting talents. In a recent interview with Zed Sport, the Phoenix Academy emphasised the significance of involving children in sports. They view these young athletes as the future beacons of the sports world. The academy stated, "The kids participating this Saturday hold the potential to become the next renowned athletes like Samukonga, Matete, and many others, provided they exhibit determination and remain steadfast in their aspirations." Furthermore, Phoenix Academy highlighted the importance of this platform in shaping future stars while shielding them from negative influences from their peers.
