The Zambia women's wheelchair national basketball team has returned home following their participation in the African Para Games women's basketball competition. Zambia's national women's wheelchair basketball team concluded their journey at the 2023 1st African Para Games with a close 37-33 loss to Kenya. The 2023 African Championships took place in Ghana, where the team competed in six games. Zambia secured a memorable victory against the host nation, Ghana, but faced defeats against formidable opponents such as Algeria, Morocco, DR Congo, and ultimately, Kenya. Notably, this marked Zambia's first participation in the African para wheelchair basketball tournament, which will serve as motivation for the team to participate in more international tournaments.
