The Zambia Hockey Association (ZHA) has secured an international friendly for the Zambia National Women’s Hockey team against 2024 Hockey 5s hosts Oman on January 20, 2024, in Muscat. Head Coach Floyd Chomba confirmed this development, emphasizing its significance in preparing the team for the impending 2024 World Cup tournament, set to commence on January 24, 2024. “Yes I can confirm we will play Oman, on January 20 in Muscat but before that we should have another friendly with Poland which I would say the is still 75% as we are still finalizing other arrangements,” he said. He further shared ongoing discussions with another team, yet to reach an advanced stage. The Golden Girls, presently training at Oydc, plan to depart for Oman on January 17, gearing up for the upcoming prestigious tournament.
