National Women's Sevens rugby coach Willis Magasa has said that the 21-member team that he recently picked to play the Olympic 2024 pre-qualifiers in Zambia has a good composition. 10 African countries are expected to feature in the upcoming Olympic 2024 pre-qualifiers on the 1st and 2nd of July at the Lusaka Rugby Club next month. In an interview after naming the team to enter camp yesterday, Magasa said that the team had the abilities and strengths needed to win the tournament. Magasa further added that he expects the players to execute the plans that Would be given to winning the pre-qualifiers. "Well, this is a home tournament and I expect us to win it. I think we have picked a good composition of mixed abilities and strengths looking at how we would like to play in this tournament, " He said. The 10 countries expected to fight for the top three places to advance to the next stage of the qualifiers are Algeria, Burkina Fuso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Egypt, Senegal, Zimbabwe, and host Zambia.
