The Zambia Rugby Union will conduct its Rugby Super Week courses between 27 and 30 June 2023 in Lusaka to increase its technical human resource capacity in many forms. Some of the level one courses will include Coaching Level 1, Match Officiating Level, First Aid In Rugby Level 1, and S & C Level 1 whereas Level 2 courses will include Coaching Level, Match Officiating Level 2, and Intermediate Care in Ruby among others. Zambia Rugby Union President Chileshe Bweupe is confident about the program and has mentioned that the training was to be taken seriously as it was the first step in improving the game in Zambia. President Chileshe further mentioned that the response to this training week was critical because it would be a gauge as a country of our collective desire to the improvement of coaches, referees, medics, match commissioners, and citing commissioners. Mr. Bwupe has also reminded all clubs of the requirement that all National Team/Club coaches attain Level 2 Coaching and that the ZRU will ensure that the directive was implemented sooner rather than later. The courses that will be conducted have the objective of improving game management by Coaches, Match Officials, Strength and Conditioning, and Medics and are open to all interested participants including Team Managers at the Club level and National level as well as enhancing the accreditation process.
