Red Arrows secured their third title of the season by defeating Green Buffaloes in the final of the Owen Busange Sevens championship in Chililabombwe. Prior to the tournament, Arrows had already clinched the National Rugby League (NRL) and the Nchanga 10s championship. The victory in the border town not only added another trophy to Arrows' collection but also maintained their pursuit of sweeping all the silverware this season. Coach Mwamba Chishimba expressed satisfaction with the team's exceptional performance and set their sights on the upcoming Mufulira Sevens. Arrows claimed victory in the final with tries from Elisha Bwalya and David Chimbukulu, converted by Terry Kaushiku and Brian Mbalwa, respectively. The Air Wolves dominated their pool matches, defeating Diggers and Nkwazi before advancing to the knockout stages. In the quarter-finals, Arrows recorded a resounding 33-0 victory over Mufulira Leopards, followed by a 28-14 win against Green Eagles in the semi-finals. On the other hand, Buffaloes navigated through Group C to secure a spot in the quarter-finals, where they had a bye, and eventually defeated Roan 12-5 in the last four. Arrows claimed a cash prize of K10,000 as champions, while Buffaloes received K8,000 for their efforts. The plate category saw joint winners Leopards and Nkwazi, sharing a prize of K4,000, and the bowl category had a similar outcome with Arrows B and Konkola B each receiving K2,000. In the women's category, Arrows emerged victorious after a closely contested round-robin tournament. Tied on points with Buffaloes, they secured the championship title due to a superior goal difference, earning K4,000 in prize money. The Owen Busange Sevens championship is held in memory of the late former national team coach, Busange, who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident.
