Amidst Zambia's ongoing ban imposed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Midlands Cricket Association (MCA) stands as a beacon of unwavering dedication to international cricket, representing the nation on the global stage. In a testament to their commitment, the MCA has organized a thrilling T20 Quadrangular Tournament, which commenced on 6th October and is set to conclude on 8th October. The tournament boasts participation from illustrious teams, including Matador from India, Alexander from Zimbabwe, and MCA Team A and B. The grand opening ceremony took place at the Metropolitan Sports Club, marking the start of three days of intense cricketing action. This exciting event sees selected teams from the Midlands region locking horns with formidable opponents from India's Matador Cricket Club and Zimbabwe's Alexandra Cricket Club. During the inauguration, the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), Boniface Kambikambi, lauded MCA's efforts in organizing the tournament. He recognized this initiative as a powerful testament to MCA's unwavering commitment to fostering the growth of cricket within the nation, despite the current challenges.
