The Ministry of Sports has committed to partnering with the Zambia Cricket Union to advance the sport within the country. Following the T20 Cricket Tournament held in Lusaka over the weekend, Minister of Sports, Elvis Nkandu, expressed his belief that the tournament highlights a growing cricket community in Zambia. He emphasized the government's dedication to collaborating with the union to address any challenges hindering the sport's development in the nation. "People can now breathe a sigh of relief that cricket is being played in the country. We did not expect such a turnout; it shows that there is a section of our society that appreciates cricket. Therefore, from this momentous occasion, we want to see the Zambia National Cricket team playing against other national teams," he concluded.
