Response Network hosted the 2023 Inclusive Sports Festival in Livingstone under the theme "Unity in Diversity - Embracing Inclusivity and Environmental Sustainability." The festival is supported by entities like the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF). Partnered with organizations including Judo Association of Zambia (JAZ), National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), Sport in Action, and Edu Sport Foundation, the festival drew 250 participants aged 8 to 17. Livingstone Mayor, Ms. Mukelabai, graced the festival and delivered an impactful message. She emphasized that the event serves as a call to action, promoting the idea that embracing individuals of all abilities and providing opportunities for everyone creates a stronger, richer, and more vibrant society. In her address, she highlighted that true victory is found in the friendships formed, the barriers overcome, and the inspiring messages carried forward through dedication. Ms. Mukelabai firmly asserted that through sports, they are rewriting the narrative of what is possible, demonstrating that unity in diversity is not just an ideal but a reality they can achieve.
