The Fourth Seminar for General Secretaries of affiliate National Sports Federations, organized by the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), commenced on 20th October 2023 in Lusaka. The first session began with discussions about seminar expectations. Following that, Yassine Yousfi, the head of the Entourage Unit at the International Olympic Committee and the Continental Manager for Africa in Olympic Solidarity, virtually delivered a presentation on Athlete Development and Support. Subsequently, Kenny Matishi, a Coach Developer, and Felix Munyika from the NOCZ Secretariat co-presented on the Zamcoach360 Coach Developers Training Course. NOCZ Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi then reviewed the action points from the previous year's General Secretaries Seminar held in 2022. The seminar also featured a panel discussion on Governance and Compliance, focusing on a balanced scorecard. The panelists included Boniface Kambikambi, Mabvuto Nguni (General Secretary of the Judo Association of Zambia), Josab Changa (General Secretary of the Handball Association of Zambia), Sophie Peach (General Secretary of the Zambia Swimming Union), and Lyson Zulu (Technical Director for the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ). The discussion was moderated by Besa Chibwe, a member of the NOCZ Legal and Ethics Commission. NOCZ Athletes Commission Chairperson Richard Mulenga also used the occasion to encourage the participants to prioritize athletes' affairs by establishing athletes' commissions within their respective federations and supporting their initiatives. The seminar's theme is "Competent entourage, a valuable resource in sports," and it has attracted Chief executives from partner sports organizations like NOWSPAR, Sport In Action, Response Network, and Edusport Foundation.
