In a proactive initiative aimed at spreading the love for hockey across every corner of Zambia, the Zambia Hockey Association (ZHA) has embarked on a mission to revamp the sport in Kitwe, a city with a rich history in Zambian hockey. Their goal is to ensure that hockey is not limited to specific regions but becomes a part of the fabric of towns, districts, and provinces throughout the country. Starting in July of this year, the Zambia Hockey Association, with valuable support from the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), initiated the process of crafting a comprehensive five-year strategic plan. This plan is poised to serve as a guiding roadmap for the growth and advancement of hockey on a national scale. It reflects the association's commitment to nurturing the sport and elevating its prominence, both within the country and on the international stage. Through this concerted effort, the ZHA aspires to establish a solid foundation for hockey's future in Zambia. The plan's core objective is to introduce a more structured and progressive approach to the sport. By engaging key stakeholders and formulating a clear strategic vision, the association is determined to propel hockey in Zambia to unprecedented heights in the years ahead.
