Zambia is firmly committed to advancing sports as a tourism offering that complements the nation's existing attractions. Credo Nanjuwa, Minister of the Southern Province, emphasized the importance of broadening sports activities to encompass water sports, ensuring that the district becomes a favored tourist destination. "As a country, we are determined to ensure that we work tirelessly to develop sport as a tourism product to include activities such as water sports to ensure that Livingstone becomes a preferred tourist destination through sports," he said. Furthermore, Minister Nanjuwa highlighted the significance of inclusive sports discussions, urging attendees not to overlook the imperative of inclusivity. He specifically emphasized the importance of including marginalized sectors of society, such as people with disabilities, women, girls, and refugees residing in AUSC member countries. "It is my hope that during your discussion and deliberations, you did not lose sight of the need to harness inclusion in sports for the sake of the marginalized sectors of our society, key among them being people with disabilities, women, and girls, as well as refugees residing in our various countries," he concluded.
