Despite a 3-0 loss to Namibia in a classification match, the Zambia women's team secured their place in the 2024 All-Africa Games in Ghana. The women's hockey team finished 6th out of 8 competing teams, while the men's team secured 7th place out of 9 teams after a 2-0 victory against Zimbabwe. Coach Floyd Chomba expressed that the team learned valuable lessons from the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers and will now focus on early preparations for future challenges. In a bid to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the Golden Girls faced a tough opponent, Kenya, in Pretoria, South Africa, resulting in a 4-0 defeat and missing out on the semifinals. However, the team redeemed themselves by securing a spot in the 2024 All-Africa Games in Ghana, bringing joy to their coach.
