Due to the upcoming officials clinic scheduled for September 2nd to 3rd, 2023, at Hotel Edinburgh in Kitwe, all Copperbelt league games have been called off. The clinic will run daily from 09:00hrs. Recognising the significance of this clinic, the Association has made a specific request to all participating teams. They have encouraged teams to send both their coaches and captains to attend the referee's clinic on the designated Saturday. This collective effort is aimed at enhancing understanding and adherence to the new regulations introduced by FIBA, which officially came into effect on October 1st, 2023. In addition to the coaches and captains, the Association has further appealed to each team to designate at least one member to partake in the official training programme. This strategic move not only promotes a deeper understanding of the game's rules but also expands the pool of qualified officials. By increasing the number of trained officials, the Association hopes to contribute to fairer, more efficiently managed league games in the future. This endeavour reflects their commitment to the sport's growth and development within the Copperbelt league.
