17th April 2023, the Zambia U-20 men's Rugby team announced its 28-member squad ahead of the Rugby Africa 2023 Bethe's trophy challenge in Kenya. The final 28-member squad named by coach Reuben Mkandawire comprises Evans Fumbelo, Lukusa Mbala, Kelvin Lukonda (all Konkola), Charles Mweemba (Nkwazi), Fred Mtonga, Chabu Mwanaumbi and Tendai Cedric (Mufulira). Others are Kondwani Mwasagwale, Kelvin Sichula, Francis Ngosa Elijah Mumba, and Prince Fisonga (Green Eagles). Emmanuel Mbewe, Ngalabika Elphas, Fredrick Chanda, Robert Stuart and Mwale Mulenga (Lusaka) while Richard Kabinga and Musonda Chilenge (Chibolya). Enock Chishimba, Cassidy Chate (Green Buffaloes), Sylvester Kabwe, James Mana and Emmanuel Mwansa (Nchanga) Justin Zulu (Kitwe Playing Fields), Raphael Zulu (Red Arrows) and Patrick Chota (0YDC-Zambia). Other supporting members of the team include assistant team coach Mukisi Silomba, team doctor Rowland Mhone and team manager Sesha Mubanga. The Berthe's tournament which begins on the 22nd to the 30th of April will act as a qualifying series to the World Rugby Junior Trophy to be held at the same venue from the 15th to 30th of July, 2023.
