Saturday was the day set for the Musa Judo League which was hosted in Livingstone on 20th May 2023. A number of 5 clubs registered for the competition and over 160 participants turned out to compete for the judo championship. Clubs that took part in the just-ended championship included Green Buffaloes Judo Club, Green Eagles, Red Arrows Judo Club, Judo for Fred, and Central Sports Club with each club having more than 12 candidates. Furthermore, the championship also attracted Participants from Zimbabwe and others from Malawi Judo Association with more than 5 delegations who were present at the national tournament. This includes Osbourne Banda, Secretary General, Chikumbutso Kansomba, Treasurer General, Belinda Chikakuda Executive Member, Chifundo Kathewela Athlete -60kgs, Brave Chipokosa Athlete- 73kgs and Madalitso Kachule female Athlete- 48kgs. This is in line with the Judo Association tripartite Agreements objective of Strengthening sustainable and collaborative regional partnerships. The three Judokas will also prepare for the Ghana All Africa games slated for March 2024.
