The Rotary Club of Lusaka will host its third annual tournament on May 26 at Bonanza Golf Club with an aim of raising K300,000 to support the Wash Project. The Wash Project is a water sanitation, hygiene, mother and child project which is carried out in different communities. Rotary Club director, Beverly Mwanza said in an interview yesterday that they were targeting about 100 golfers to take part in the tournament to help raise the needed amount to go towards improving hygiene and sanitation for mothers in community clinics. Mwanza said last year, the Club managed to raise about K150,000 that went towards the Wash Project which was an area of concern to help mothers the Rotary access water after delivery. Beverly added that the guest of honor at the tournament would be the Minister of Finance Situmbeko Msokotwane, who has been supportive and also passionate about their projects of helping the needy.
