The Matadar Club from India has visited Zambia with the purpose of acknowledging the remarkable progress made by the country in advancing the sport of cricket. During their stay, they plan to conduct a coaching clinic for young Zambian players with advice from Senior Matadar team members. As part of a knowledge-sharing initiative facilitated by the Midlands Cricket Association, Matadar will also engage in friendly matches with various Zambian teams. Saidi Malama, the Secretary of the Midlands Cricket Association, revealed that Matadar will play some games in Malawi before making their way back to Zambia. Midlands has formed two teams, each consisting of 15 players, for a total of 30 players. Ishmael Matadar, Chairman of Fahad Cricket Club, expressed his enthusiasm for the rapid growth of cricket in Zambia and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between India and Zambia in the sport. He extended his gratitude for the invitations as this is their first visit.
