The Zambia Hockey Women's National Team is set to clash with Ghana today at 10:00hrs, vying for a spot in the Semi Finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifiers. After a spirited victory against Namibia, with a score of 3-2, the Golden Girls have heightened their aspirations of advancing to the semi-finals. Floyd Chomba, the team's Head Coach, shared their strategic game plan, emphasizing the team's objective of securing an early lead and then defending it to undermine the opponent's confidence levels. Furthermore, Chomba highlighted their ambition to improve their head-to-head record against Ghana, who emerged victorious in a previous encounter earlier this year at the Hockey Women's Africa Cup of Nations. In the men's division, David Kapeso, the Assistant Coach of the Men's National Team, lamented that poor finishing was the downfall in their second Group fixture, resulting in a 1-0 loss to Kenya. On the other hand, the men will play Egypt at 16:00hrs.
