The Zambia Women's Hockey Team has achieved a remarkable feat by qualifying for their inaugural World Cup competition, set to be hosted in Muscat, Oman's capital, from January 24th to 27th, 2024. However, the Zambia Hockey Association faces significant financial challenges in providing the necessary resources for these dedicated players to compete at the highest level. The team primarily consists of underprivileged individuals whose unwavering passion for the sport has driven them to this historic achievement. Despite numerous obstacles, they have demonstrated unwavering determination, commitment, and remarkable skill, making them proud representatives of their nation. They are reaching out to the public, seeking financial support to cover essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, training facilities, equipment, and coaching, all of which are crucial for their success. The total budget required for 10 athletes and 4 officials is £25,000, which includes: - Flights: £11,000 - Accommodation: £10,500 - Daily Expenses: £1,200 - Insurance: £1,000 - Medicines: £300 - Contingency: £1,000 The 5s World Cup is scheduled from January 24th to 31st, 2024, and the aim is to ensure that the Zambia 5s Women's Hockey team is fully prepared to compete against the world's top teams.
