Anticipation is building as the stage is set for the 2024 Hockey 5s draws, with the announcement by the International Hockey Federation - FIH. The draws are scheduled to take place in Oman's capital, Muscat, from 24th to 27th January 2024. Among the 16 formidable teams vying for victory in this inaugural tournament, the Zambia Women's Hockey Team stands poised to make its mark on the global stage. The list of qualified teams features an array of talent from across the world, including hosts Oman, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, Paraguay, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. While these teams have secured their spots, the remaining three contenders from Asia will earn their place through the imminent Asian Hockey5s qualifiers, scheduled from 25th August to 2nd September in Salalah. The tournament's group stage promises excitement, divided into four pools, each featuring four formidable teams. With competition heating up and the prospect of facing international rivals, the countdown to the 2024 Hockey 5s draws continues, igniting enthusiasm among hockey enthusiasts worldwide.
