Martha C Kalomo
Martha C Kalomo is a Zambian hockey player who plays for the Lusaka Sharks Club. She holds the record for being the all-time top goal scorer for Zambia, having scored three goals at the Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Accra, Ghana, from January 17 to 23, 2022. She also scored four goals at the Youth Olympic Games held in China in 2014. In addition to her hockey career, Martha is the captain of the Hockey Dreams Foundation, where she became the first female coach when the foundation was introduced in Zambia. Currently, the Hockey Dreams Foundation has seven female coaches. Martha has achieved several significant milestones in her career. She won a silver medal at the YOG Africa qualification and was part of the Zambian female team's debut appearance at the Youth Olympic Games. She has also won the ZHA Super League gold six times, the Africa President's Cup, the ZHA Invitational five times, and the Malawi Invitational. Martha's contribution to hockey in Zambia is remarkable. She serves as an inspiration to many young girls who aspire to play hockey. Her dedication and hard work have led her to achieve great success in her career. Furthermore, she has played a crucial role in the development of female hockey in Zambia through her involvement with the Hockey Dreams Foundation.
