JUDO ASSOCIATION OF ZAMBIA RECEIVES A DONATION KIT FROM JAPAN

On 02nd April 2023, the Judo Association of Zambia (JAZ) received a donation of second-hand Judo suits from the Takeda Pharmaceutical Workers Union (TWU) from Japan. JAZ President Alfred Foloko together with Vice President Dorothy Nyambe received the donation from the Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Mr. Takeuchi Kazuyuki. The current president of the Takeda Pharmaceutical Workers Union (TWU), Mr. Aoki Hiroaki, explained that the Union members voluntarily collected judo suits in response to Zambia's needs with a wish to contribute to the spread of judo in Zambia, through a video message. The embassy in Japan believes that this handover will make the ties between Japan and Zambia stronger.
