This morning, the Zambia Ladies 7s Rugby National Team Coach Willis Magasa has shortlisted 21 Ladies who will play the Rugby Africa's Ladies tournament in early July in Lusaka. The newly 21-squad will also join camp today as they prepare for the 7s Africa Championships 2024 Olympics Pre Qualifiers. The shortlisted include Mary Lyamba, Margaret Kasonka, Lushomo Liwena, Dorothy Kasonka, Jessy Mwale, Jessy Juma, Lillian Mukosha, Margaret Chama, Margaret Chilembo and Mumba Chipasha from Red Arrows Rugby Club, Queen Nachinga, Leah Mbukwa, Bwalya Chibomba from Green Buffaloes Rugby Club, Veronica Lungu, Jane Malisa, Anna Wilima, Milika Tembo, Natasha Mulenga from Eagles while from Leopardress Rugby Club those that made it to the shortlist are Martha Banda, Juliet Mwamba and Martha Musonda. Willis is confident that ladies will win the tournament which comprises 10 countries and qualify to the final 2024 Olympic Qualifiers that will be played in Tunisia later this year. Next month, Zambia will host Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Congo, Burkina Faso, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, and Ghana. All the best queens.
